What happened
On December 3, 2010, at approximately 2040 UTC, a Beech 1900C, registration C9-AUO, was performing a landing approach at Maputo International Airport (MPM) in Maputo, Mozambique. The flight had originated from Nampula, Mozambique. During the approach, the aircraft struck the terrain. At the time of the accident, the weather consisted of instrument meteorological conditions.
Of the 17 people on board, there were 6 serious injuries, and there were no fatalities. The aircraft was destroyed in the accident.
