What happened
On December 28, 2010, at 1420 UTC, an MD-Helicopters MD600N, registered D-HHWR, experienced a loss of engine power while operating near Jena-Isserstedt, Thuringia, Germany. Following the loss of power, the aircraft impacted the terrain.
At the time of the accident, weather conditions were characterized by visual meteorological conditions (VMC). The crash resulted in two serious injuries for the pilot and second pilot, while a passenger sustained one minor injury. The helicopter was destroyed during the impact.
