What happened
On June 26, 2016, an accident involving a Boeing 777, registration 9V-SWB, occurred in Singapore. The aircraft was operated by Singapore Airlines. There were no fatalities and no injuries reported in relation to this event.
The investigation
The Air Accident Investigations Bureau (AAIB) of Singapore is leading the investigation. Because the aircraft and its engines were manufactured and designed in the United States, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the AAIB under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13.
