On January 20, 2017, an accident occurred involving an AVRO RJ146 aircraft, registration UNK, in Darlot, Australia. The aircraft was equipped with Lycoming LF507 engines.
Following the event, the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) notified the NTSB of the accident. Because the engines were manufactured in the United States, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the ATSB investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13 protocols.
