What happened
While operating under Visual Flight Rules (VFR), the crew initiated a departure from Barranquella-Ernesto Cortissoz Airport. During the flight, the aircraft was cruising at an altitude of 11,500 feet when meteorological conditions deteriorated. While navigating through these worsening weather patterns, the aircraft type struck the side of a mountain situated in the vicinity of Oroque.
The wreckage of the plane remained undiscovered for three days following the incident. The impact resulted in four fatalities, leaving no survivors among the occupants. Among those who perished were two employees from the Anson Drilling Company, an organization focused on oil and petroleum operations in Colombia.
