Accident
On 21 January 1960, Avianca Flight 671, a Lockheed L-1049E Super Constellation (registration HK-177), crashed and caught fire during landing at Montego Bay Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica. The flight had originated from Miami International Airport in Florida and was operating a route from Bogotá to Montego Bay.
Fatalities
Of the 46 passengers and crew members on board, 37 were killed. The accident remains the worst in Jamaican aviation history.
