Flight Details

Engine Failure

Attempted Restart and Impact
The pilot manipulated the throttle in an effort to restart the engine. In a near-stall attitude, the engine fired and surged to high RPM, causing a torque roll that banked the aircraft to the left. The pilot again closed the throttle and applied full forward elevator, right aileron, and right rudder. The aircraft struck the ground with the left wing, followed by the left main landing gear and the nose gear.
