What happened
A witness reported that an aircraft flipped over while on Runway 25. Following the incident, the sole occupant, a male, was not injured. The pilot and several unidentified individuals moved the aircraft from the runway to a tiedown area on the airport grounds.
An FAA inspector arrived at the scene approximately thirty minutes after the accident; however, the inspector was unable to locate the occupant of the aircraft. Three days after the event, an unknown person removed the airplane from the airport. The aircraft has not been located since that time.
Records indicate that prior to the accident, the aircraft had been sold, but the new owner had not re-registered the plane. The previous registered owner did not provide any information regarding the identity of the current owner.
