Accident Details
Witnesses reported a normal sequence of events leading up to the accident, including engine start, warm-up, taxi, run-up, and takeoff. After departure, the airplane climbed to an altitude between 100 and 150 feet above ground level. At that point, the aircraft entered an abrupt, steep right bank. The continuation of the right turn would have directed the airplane back over an area where several acquaintances of the pilot were standing. During the banking maneuver, the airplane stalled, resulting in the nose dropping. Subsequently, the aircraft impacted the ground in a nose-down attitude.
