Korean Air Flight 2033 was operating a scheduled domestic service connecting Seoul to Jeju Island. On August 10, 1994, the Airbus A300 aircraft attempted to land at Jeju International Airport under adverse weather conditions. Upon touchdown, the plane failed to stop within the available runway distance and overran the end of the pavement. The friction and impact caused the aircraft to burst into flames.
