A pilot experienced an engine power loss during a climbing turn following takeoff, resulting in an emergency landing and subsequent aircraft fire.

What happened

Prior to takeoff, the pilot filled the fuel tank with 100LL fuel. After taxiing to runway 10, the pilot initiated the takeoff sequence. During the climbout phase, the pilot began a left climbing turn. At approximately the same time as the turn, the engine lost power and the engine RPM dropped to idle.

The pilot identified an emergency landing area and established an approach to land. Following the touchdown, the aircraft burst into flames.
