What happened

During the takeoff phase from a lake, a float equipped airplane impacted the water surface, resulting in substantial damage to the aircraft. According to witnesses positioned in a nearby boat, the aircraft lifted off approximately 30 feet behind a skier who was being towed by said boat. After liftoff, the aircraft climbed to an altitude of approximately 30 feet above the boat before performing a sharp left bank and crashing into the lake.
