The pilot in command noted that the engine had shut down and the propeller had moved to the feathered position. After being unable to restart the engine, the pilot attempted to return to the airport but was unsuccessful. The pilot then prepared for an off-field landing. During the landing sequence, the aircraft RDPL-34144 bounced twice before coming to a stop.
