What happened

On June 19, 2009, a Boeing 767-300, registration SP-LPA, was operating flight LOT 2 from O'Hare International Airport (ORD) in Chicago, Illinois, to Warsaw, Poland. While cruising at flight level 330 near North Bay, Ontario, the aircraft encountered a sudden, uncommanded overspeed condition. During this event, the stick shaker activated and the left and right electronic engine control (EEC) caution lights illuminated.

A second instance of these conditions occurred while the aircraft was in a holding pattern. The aircraft continued to experience these issues as it burned off excess fuel. The flight concluded with an uneventful landing at Lester B. Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. There were no injuries resulting from this event.
