What happened
On 26 July 2011, a C-130 Hercules military transport aircraft, belonging to the Royal Moroccan Air Force, crashed in the vicinity of Guelmim, Morocco. The aircraft was transporting 71 passengers, the majority of whom were personnel from the Moroccan Armed Forces, along with a crew of nine.
Following the impact, rescue efforts managed to locate three survivors within the wreckage. However, these individuals succumbed to their injuries after being extracted from the site. The crash resulted in a total of 80 fatalities.
