The Russian Interstate Aviation Committee (MAK) notified the NTSB of an accident involving an ATR 72, registration VP-BYZ, which took place on April 2, 2012, in Roshchino, Russia.
What happened
Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the MAK investigation. This appointment was made because the United States is the state of manufacturer and design for the aircraft's avionics. There were no fatalities or injuries reported in the notification.
