Incident Notification
The National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT) of Indonesia has notified the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of an incident involving an ATR 72-600. The incident occurred on July 3, 2020.
Investigation Cooperation
In response, the NTSB has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the KNKT investigation. This appointment is made under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, which designates the United States as the State of Manufacturer and Design of the aircraft components.
Information Release
All investigative information will be released by the KNKT. The NTSB is participating in a supporting role as part of international cooperation in aviation safety investigations.
