Incident Overview
On March 21, 2017, an incident occurred involving an Aerospatiale and Alenia ATR-72-212A aircraft. The investigation is being led by the Brazilian aviation safety authority, the Centro de Investigação e Prevenção de Acidentes Aeronáuticos (CENIPA). The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has been notified and has appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist in the investigation.
