Incident Description

An Austrian-registered Shorts SC7 Skyvan, bearing registration OE-FDN and operated by Pink Aviation Services GmbH, experienced an uncontained failure of the No.2 turbine wheel on its right-hand engine during descent. The failure ejected debris that struck and damaged the right-hand forward sidewall fuel cell, leading to a subsequent loss of fuel. The aircraft was configured with two engines, and the event occurred while the aircraft was descending.

Investigation

The investigation is being conducted by the Air Accidents Investigation Institute (AAII) of the Czech Republic.
