What happened
On the morning of December 22, 2015, a light aircraft operated by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) was involved in a fatal accident at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The aircraft, identified as registration VT-BBF, had departed for Ranchi shortly after 9:30 AM local time. Shortly after leaving the ground, the plane crashed within the airport premises.
Investigation
The incident resulted in the loss of all ten individuals on board. The victims included three officers and seven senior technicians from the Border Security Force. No survivors were reported among the crew or passengers.
Findings
The crash claimed the lives of all personnel aboard the 22-year-old Beechcraft B200 King Air. The aircraft was operating under the authority of the Indian Border Security Force at the time of the accident.
