On March 3, 2016, an incident occurred involving a Cessna 208B, registration 8R-GHT, in Georgetown, Guyana.
Following the event, the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) notified the NTSB of the occurrence. Because the aircraft was equipped with a special type certificate engine modification manufactured in the United States, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to assist the GCAA with the investigation in accordance with ICAO Annex 13.
