What happened

On March 23, 2017, a Saab 340B, aircraft registration VH-RXS, was performing a climb when the crew identified abnormal vibrations and turbine temperatures originating from the right engine, a General Electric CT7-9B. In response to these indications, the crew performed an in-flight shutdown of the right engine. The aircraft subsequently returned to Dubbo, Australia.
