What happened
Following the event, the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) of Nigeria notified the NTSB of the incident. Under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13, the NTSB appointed a U.S. Accredited Representative to support the ongoing investigation being conducted by the Nigerian authorities.
