Accident Overview
On July 21, 2025, at approximately 1856 central daylight time, a Ravin 500 airplane, registered as C-GPDZ, was involved in an accident at Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The aircraft sustained substantial damage, but the pilot and passenger were not injured. The flight was conducted under Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 as a personal flight.
Sequence of Events
According to the pilot, the airplane landed on runway 9 and was decelerating when the left main landing gear collapsed. As a result, the left wing and the left horizontal stabilizer struck the ground. The airplane came to rest on the north side of runway 9.
Damage Assessment
The accident resulted in substantial damage to the left horizontal stabilizer and the fuselage. The aircraft was retained for further examination.
