What happened

The pilot had received clearance from local air traffic control for a straight-in approach to runway 06. During the landing, the nosewheel dropped and the aircraft bounced upon touchdown. Although the pilot maintained control throughout the landing roll and brought the aircraft to a stop on the runway, the aircraft sustained substantial damage.
