What happened

On July 8, 2025, a mid-air collision occurred at the Steinbach (South) Aerodrome in Manitoba involving two aircraft operated by Harv’s Air Service Ltd. The aircraft involved were a Cessna 172R and a Cessna 152, both of which were performing local training flights at the time of the incident.

As both aircraft were executing their final approach to Runway 36, they collided in mid-air. Following the impact, both planes fell to the ground, landing roughly a quarter of a statute mile from the runway threshold. The collision was followed by a post-impact fire. Each aircraft was carrying one pilot, and both pilots sustained fatal injuries.
