What happened
A scheduled flight traveling from Santo Domingo-Las Americas Airport to Marigot, Dominica Island, experienced an excursion upon arrival at Marigot-Douglas-CAh rles Airport. After the aircraft touched down on runway 27, it drifted left of the runway centerline. As the plane moved off the paved surface, it struck the concrete of taxiway Bravo. This impact caused the collapse of both the nose gear and the left main landing gear.
The aircraft continued to slide for several dozen meters across the terrain before coming to a stop in a grassy area positioned toward the main terminal. There were 32 occupants on board, consisting of 29 passengers and three crew members. All individuals were successfully rescued from the wreckage, though one passenger sustained minor injuries. The aircraft was determined to be a total loss due to the extent of the structural damage.
Findings
Initial observations indicate that the primary impact involving the main landing gear occurred approximately 145 feet from the runway threshold. The deviation from the runway centerline led to the subsequent contact with the taxiway infrastructure and the resulting gear failure.
