During a flight originating from Brasília, the crew initiated a descent toward Goiânia-Santa Genoveva Airport under challenging meteorological conditions. The approach was characterized by heavy rainfall and significant turbulence, which reduced visibility for the pilot.

While performing the final approach, the twin engine aircraft descended below the established glide path. The flight path intersected with the slope of Mt Santo Antônio, located approximately 10.7 km before reaching runway 32. The collision with the terrain resulted in the total destruction of the airframe and a subsequent fire. There were six fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft.
