During the descent toward Kulu-Bhuntar Airport, the aircraft encountered instrument meteorological conditions (IMC).

While navigating through these low-visibility conditions, the aircraft impacted a mountain slope approximately 20 km from its intended destination. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were five fatalities recorded, as all occupants on board perished in the crash.
