What happened
A flight operating between Fort Lauderdale and San Juan, with a scheduled stop at Great Inagua, vanished while in transit. During the journey, the pilot failed to transmit any distress signals or notify air traffic control of any mechanical issues or emergencies. Following the disappearance, search and rescue operations were launched across the area of the Sargasso Sea. Despite these efforts, the mission was terminated several days later after investigators and rescuers found no wreckage, debris, or evidence regarding the fate of the aircraft or its two occupants.
Findings
Official investigations into the disappearance concluded that there was insufficient physical evidence to reconstruct the final moments of the flight. Because no trace of the plane was recovered, authorities were unable to identify a specific mechanical failure or environmental factor. Consequently, the exact cause of the accident remains undetermined.
