What happened

While the Challenger was operating over the Caribbean Sea, north of Punto Fijo, the crew ceased responding to communications from Air Traffic Control. Suspecting the flight was an unauthorized mission, Venezuelan authorities dispatched a fighter aircraft to intercept the plane.
During the interception attempt, the aircraft lost control and descended into the ocean. The wreckage crashed into the Caribbean Sea near the coast of Aruba. Upon inspecting the crash site, authorities discovered more than 400 boxes of cocaine. The accident resulted in three fatalities.
Findings
