What happened

During a period of deteriorating weather, a single-engine aircraft departed from Runway 29 at Manaus-Eduardo Gomes Airport. The departure occurred amidst heavy rainfall. Shortly after the aircraft transitioned into its initial climb phase, it experienced a loss of altitude. The plane subsequently struck a dense wooded area situated approximately 600 metres beyond the end of the runway.

The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were 10 occupants on board the plane at the time of the accident, all of whom sustained injuries. Among the survivors, six individuals were reported to have suffered serious injuries.
