A twin-engine airplane crashed into a residence in Fairview, Oregon, following an uncontrolled descent, resulting in three deaths.

What happened

Following departure from runway 25 at Troutdale Airport, a twin engine airplane reached an altitude of approximately 1,700 feet. During the climb, air traffic control notified the pilot that the aircraft had exceeded the permitted VFR altitude limits for the region surrounding Gresham and Troutdale.

In response to the notification, the pilot communicated that the aircraft was experiencing handling difficulties. Shortly thereafter, the plane entered an uncontrolled descent. The aircraft struck a house situated in Fairview, roughly two kilometers southwest of the runway 07 threshold. The impact caused the aircraft to burst into flames. The crash resulted in three fatalities, involving both occupants of the aircraft and one individual inside the residence.

At the time of the accident, the flight was proceeding toward its destination in Saint George, Utah.
