What happened

A twin-engine aircraft was performing a charter service originating in Riga, with scheduled stops in Prague and Altenrhein. While conducting its approach to Altenrhein Airport, the aircraft experienced a loss of altitude and impacted the surface of Lake Constance (Bodensee). The crash occurred approximately 4 km from runway 10, in the waters near Rorschach.

Following the accident, search efforts identified the wreckage at a depth of 160 metres on February 7. During the recovery process, authorities located three deceased individuals. However, the remains of the pilot, one female passenger, and a dog were not recovered from the site.
