What happened
During an approach to Medellín-Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport, a twin engine airplane impacted the terrain of Mount San Félix. The flight had originated from Chigorodó and was proceeding without incident until the final stages of the descent.
Approximately five minutes before its scheduled arrival time, the aircraft struck a slope on the mountain, which is situated a short distance from the destination airport. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were 11 fatalities among the occupants of the plane, with no survivors reported from the crash site.
