What happened
During a period of marginal weather, an aircraft was maintaining an altitude of 3,000 feet when it struck the slope of a mountain within the Sainte-Baume range. The impact occurred approximately one mile north of Riboux. Following the accident, search efforts located the debris field two days later, situated roughly 30 km east of Marseille.
There were 10 fatalities among the occupants of the aircraft, which included both crew members and a passenger. No survivors were reported from the wreckage.
