What happened
On the morning of the incident, an aircraft departed from Casablanca-Nouasseur Airport at 07:30 local time. The flight was scheduled to travel to Perpignan with a planned stop in Algiers. Shortly after leaving the runway, the crew identified mechanical issues and notified ground control of their intention to return to the departure airport.
During the subsequent attempt to land at Casablanca, the aircraft experienced a stall while on final approach. The plane impacted the ground approximately 500 meters before reaching the runway threshold. A significant fire broke out following the impact, which resulted in the total destruction of the airframe.
The accident resulted in four fatalities, including all three crew members and one passenger. Additionally, three passengers sustained serious injuries during the crash.
