What happened
During a period of heavy snowfall in late spring, an aircraft collided with the corner of a fire station hangar at Grenier Field Air Force Base. Following the impact with the structure, the plane descended into a swamp situated near the northern end of Perimeter Road in Manchester.
The force of the accident caused significant structural failure, resulting in the aircraft breaking into two separate pieces and the loss of the right wing. There were no fatalities among the occupants, which included several local dignitaries; however, all individuals on board sustained injuries during the crash.
