On an unidentified date in late 1966, an aircraft was traveling at an altitude of approximately 2,200 meters when it encountered marginal weather conditions. During this period of flight, the plane collided with the slope of Mt Nakanoone, situated roughly 65 km northeast of Hamamatsu.

Following the impact, search and rescue operations were initiated to locate the missing vessel and its occupants. These efforts continued for several days before being officially halted, as investigators could not find any evidence regarding the status of the aircraft or the crew. It was not until 29 December 1966 that the wreckage was located in a remote and isolated region.
