What happened
During a flight departing from Yellahanka Air Force Base, an aircraft experienced a loss of lift during its initial climb. While the aircraft was ascending to an altitude of approximately 165 feet, it entered a stall condition. This led to a crash into an open field, where the impact was followed by a significant post-crash fire.
As a result of the accident and the subsequent blaze, the aircraft was completely destroyed. There were 28 fatalities recorded, which included 25 cadets who were being transported at the time of the incident.
