What happened

On a flight originating from Jorhat Airport, an aircraft departed at 12:27 local time, bound for Mechuka in Arunachal Pradesh. Approximately thirty minutes into the flight, the aircraft reached its cruising altitude, at which point all radio and radar communication with the plane ceased.

Following the loss of contact, search and rescue operations were launched to locate the missing flight. The wreckage was not located until June 11, eight days after the disappearance, when a Mil Mi-17 helicopter crew spotted the debris. The crash site was situated in a steep, heavily wooded area at an elevation of 12,000 feet. The location was approximately 16 km north of Lipo and 32 km east of Mechuka Airport.

Findings

The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft. There were 13 fatalities among the occupants, with no survivors reported from the crash site.
