What happened
On September 23, 2016, the pilot of an Agusta Bell-20．6 B3, registration RA-01630, landed at Krasnoyarsk (Northern) at 03:32:58. The aircraft, operated by the owner, had been refueled to capacity by AeroGeo LLC staff. Following refueling, the pilot departed at 03:52:17 and landed at the Inkom-Sosny heliport at 04:09:16, accompanied by one passenger.
Later that day, around 10:00, the pilot and an assistant worked in a hangar to attach an automotive roof rack to the right-side landing skid struts of the helicopter. The pilot and a passenger had planned to use the aircraft for a fishing trip to the Tynep River area on September 24, 2016, with the intention of loading the newly installed rack that morning. The crew and passenger arrived at the takeoff site at approximately 02:00 on September 24.
