On September 4, 2025, at approximately 07:40, a Lun aircraft, registration RA-0464A, was involved in a fatal accident in the settlement of Zimarovo, Alexandrovsky District, Russia. The aircraft had been delivered in a disassembled state to the location on August 26, 2025, and was assembled by the owner and the pilot.
Following the assembly, the pilot and the owner prepared the aircraft for testing and taxiing between September 3 and September 4, 2025. During the testing phase on September 4, the pilot taxied the aircraft from the assembly platform to a paved road to perform a test run intended to verify engine operation and aircraft systems.
During this test run, surveillance footage recorded the aircraft separating from the ground and subsequently colliding with the ground. The impact resulted in the destruction of the aircraft and the death of the pilot. No fire occurred at the scene, and there were no injuries or damage to persons or property on the ground.
The aircraft, registration RA-0464A, had been transferred to the pilot via a vehicle lease agreement without crew dated September 1, 2025.
