On June 28, 2025, at approximately 09:00, a Zlin Z-142, registration RA-2981G, was involved in a fatal accident in the vicinity of the Novonezhino airfield in Primorsky Krai. Prior to the flight, the aircraft had undergone maintenance, which included refueling with 40 liters of Avgaz 100LL and an engine test run.
The flight was conducted by the aircraft owner acting as the pilot-in-command, with another individual acting as a passenger. The flight took place within Class G airspace. It was noted that the pilot-in-command failed to notify air traffic control authorities of the planned flight in accordance with the required aircraft movement notification schedule for Class G airspace.
Following the incident, emergency services including the Ministry of Internal Affairs, an ambulance brigade from the Shkotovsky Municipal District, and fire departments responded to the scene. The pilot-in-command was located in the left seat and was restrained by seat belts at the time of the accident. The body of the pilot-in-command was recovered from the cabin at 15:56.
Forensic medical examinations determined that the fatal injuries were caused by impact against the aircraft cabin components during the fall, combined with rotational forces. Chemical analysis of the deceased showed the presence of tolperisone, but no ethyl or methyl alcohols, narcotics, or psychotropic substances were detected.
