On August 2, 2023, a Borey seaplane, registration RA-3175G, crashed at the pier of the Dudinka seaport in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The aircraft was operated by a private individual and was performing a flight originating from Lugovskoye, Perm Krai, with a planned destination of the Putorana Plateau.
The flight sequence began on July 31, 2023, with a takeoff from Lugovskoye at 07:08 UTC. During the mission, the aircraft made several landings at locations not specified in the original flight plan. These included a landing on the Ob River near Bolshoy Kamen on July 31, and subsequent landings at sites selected in flight near Novy Urengoy and Tazovsky.
The final leg of the flight involved a landing on the water area of the Dudinka River in the area of the Dudinka seaport. Following the collision with the coastline, the pilot and one passenger were ejected from the cabin. The impact and subsequent ground fire resulted in two fatalities.
Forensic examinations of the deceased pilot revealed ethyl alcohol concentrations of 0.24 ppm in the blood and 0.27 ppm in the urine. No other drugs or prohibited substances were detected in the pilot or the passenger.
