What happened
On June 13, 2015, a SKK-1-01 aircraft, registration RA-0594G, was performing a flight from the Agat settlement in the Yaroslavl region toward the Chernogolovka settlement in the Moscow region. Following takeoff, the pilot initiated a climb and began a left turn to establish the assigned course.
Approximately five to eight minutes after departure, the aircraft struck the ground at a distance of 5,200 meters from the Agat airfield at an azimuth of 237°. At the moment of impact, the aircraft was in an inverted position with a bank angle of approximately 180 degrees, maintaining a negative pitch and a low forward velocity. The impact triggered a fire involving the wreckage.
The investigation
The investigation determined the flight conditions at the time of the crash. The aircraft was in the climb phase of flight when it encountered the terrain. There were no reported injuries or property damage on the ground following the accident.
Findings
- The crash resulted in two fatalities, involving both pilots on board.
- A dog weighing approximately 25 kg was also on board and perished in the accident.
- The primary factor in the accident was the aircraft striking the ground in an inverted position during the climb.
