What happened
In early April 2016, agricultural flight operations were being conducted within the Rostov Region under a permit submitted to the Southern Interregional Administration of Rosaviatsiya. On June 3, 2016, the pilot was performing agricultural tasks in the Proletarsky District of the Rostov Region using a Strepet aircraft, registration RA-1675G. The flight operations were managed by an individual entrepreneur who had entered into a civil law agreement with the pilot on March 1, 2016, for experimental and recreational flights.
On June 4, 2016, the pilot flew to a temporary landing site located near the settlement of Sandata to perform agricultural work for two clients, OOO Krista and OOO Kedr. The landing site had been selected in advance by the entrepreneur in coordination with the clients. To support the mission, a mechanic accompanied the pilot in a private vehicle. The mechanic's responsibilities included managing flight logs, maintaining communication with the entrepreneur and clients, and ensuring the aircraft was supplied with aviation oil and AI-95-K5 unleaded gasoline.
