A single-engine aircraft crashed into the sea off the coast of Forte dei Marmi following an uncontrolled descent after skydivers had exited the plane.

What happened

A flight departing from Massa-Cinquale Aerodrome involving ten skydivers and a pilot ended in a fatal accident near the Italian coast. After the aircraft reached an altitude of 13,000 feet, the ten passengers exited the plane to perform their jumps. Following the deployment of the skydivers, the aircraft began to exhibit instability. The plane subsequently entered an uncontrolled descent, ultimately impacting the sea approximately 50 metres from the shore at Forte dei Marmi. The impact resulted in the total destruction of the aircraft and the death of the pilot.
