What happened
During a scheduled ferry flight from Zielona Góra-Przylep Airport to Nordhorn, Lower Saxony, a single-engine aircraft experienced a catastrophic failure during the takeoff phase. While operating from a grass runway, the aircraft's nose pitched downward, leading to a high-impact collision with the ground.
The force of the impact was severe enough to detach both engines from the airframe. The structural integrity of the aircraft was completely compromised, and the plane was destroyed upon impact. There were no reports of post-crash fire at the scene.
Findings
- The aircraft was operated by a single occupant.
- The pilot was the only person on board and was killed in the accident.
- The accident occurred during the takeoff phase of flight.
- The primary factor in the destruction of the aircraft was the downward pitch and subsequent ground impact.
