What happened
A twin-engine aircraft was operating a flight from Tel Aviv to Toussus-le-Noble, which included a scheduled stop in Corfu. The flight was carrying one pilot and two passengers at the time of the accident.
While performing an approach at an altitude of 3,000 feet, the aircraft experienced a significant reduction in both airspeed and altitude. This led to an uncontrolled descent, and the plane subsequently struck a wooded area in Dampierre-en-Yvelines. The crash site was situated approximately 10 km from the threshold of runway 07L. The impact resulted in three fatalities, leaving no survivors among the crew or passengers.
Findings
During the approach phase, the aircraft suffered a loss of airspeed and altitude, which triggered the subsequent uncontrolled descent into the terrain.
